About Dr. Karen

Dr. Karen A. Kraftick is a practicing chiropractor and head of the Kraftick Chiropractic Center in Roy, Utah.  Whatever Karen Kraftick does, she is firm, positive and enthusiastic in her approach.  Karen received her Bachelors of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University.  While at Cornell, she was named a Cornell National Scholar and was on the varsity swim team and in numerous honor societies including TAU BETA PI Engineering Honorary and Mortarboard (Community Service Honorary).  She then received her Masters Degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).  Before becoming a chiropractor, she was a Research Engineer at Chevron Research Corporation and at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL).  At LLNL, Dr. Kraftick was Project Engineer on Laser Isotope Separation, as well as the SYNROC project, and was Project Leader for the design and development of the Aluminum-Air Battery for Electric Vehicles.

Even though she continued to be an avid swimmer (she swam across Lake Tahoe and the San Francisco Golden Gate), she developed low back problems.  Athletes still get hurt!  After years of problems, she finally went to a chiropractor and received the right kind of help.  This was when she became interested in chiropractic.  She attended Life West Chiropractic College in California and graduated Summa Cum Laude and Valedictorian.  She was named to Who's Who of American Universities and Colleges and was Treasurer of the student chapter of the American Chiropractic Society.

Dr. Karen started her practice in Santa Fe in 1991.

In 1996 she moved her home, animals, and practice to Roy, Utah.  Her first office was in the Marketplace Plaza by Harmons.  In 2001 she realized her dream and built her own office at 1778 West 5150 South in Roy.  Several of her New Mexico patients still stop by when they are in Utah.

Dr. Karen constantly strives to improve and update her knowledge in the field of chiropractic.  She has completed extensive post-graduate study emphasizing the treatment and rehabilitation of whiplash injuries, headaches, neck, and back pain.  She is Advanced-Certified, the highest certification possible, in the Activator Adjustment Technique.  As an engineer and a chiropractor, Dr. Kraftick believes in results.

A firm believer in the basic worth of every individual and the healing power of the body, Dr. Karen Kraftick is a true doctor for the people.
